2016 June General meeting

June 5th, 2016

On Sunday June 6th the Nassau County Junior Firefighters Association Celebrated their 50th Meeting as an Association. That morning 177 Juniors and Explorers came together at Hicksville Station 3. Each year the President of the Association picks a community orientated project. Last year President Kelly Hastings of Massapequa Explorers decided to run a fundraiser for the Nassau County Firefighters wounded warriors. They decided to have T-Shirts made with both organizations on it and give all profits made to the wounded warriors. The yearlong project raised $2,500.00, which was presented to Chairman Joe O’Grady and Vice Chairman Mike Kushner. Because of our support and the dedication to the fire service they presented the Junior Officers a plaque of appreciation which will go on display in the Juniors case at the Nassau County Fire Museum.
